the feminist movement through my eyes

This was a short essay I was required to write for one of my classes, but I do feel strongly
about the topic, so here are my thoughts and opinions.

Women all over the world are fighting for gender equality and women's rights. These women have made their stand and are changing the world around us. Many years ago, the feminist movement achieved the right to vote for all women, and allowed women to enter into the work force. Although the benefits of these acts are acknowledged, as a whole, this movements growth has not been for the worlds benefit. Rather than uplift and promote "being a woman," the feminist movement has created a feminine shaming culture, ignoring the divine differences between men and women.
The phrase gender equality is a humorous one. Doesn't equality mean to be the same? In many ways, women are equal to or the same as men, but in other ways, they could not be more different. Many feminists have taken this perspective of being different, and interpreted it as less, or worse. Their interpretation has lead to women thinking they must be as men are, in order to have value, ignoring the important role that women should be playing in society.
If a woman's innate skills are highlighted, generally, she will be a nurturer, making sure everyone else is taken care of. She would be a great multitasker. The two sides of a woman's brain are better connected than a man's. She would work well with her hands. She would also be softer, in every sense of the word; in tone; in disposition; in appearance; and in carrying out justices. These characteristics are not cohesive with someone who runs a large company with hundreds of families financial fate in their hands. Yet, this is what these woman are striving for. They wish to be as the men, ignoring, completely, the talents they already have.
Promotion of what they call feminism has brought societal shame to femininity. To be soft is a weakness. Just as caring for others is also seen as a weaknessInstead of empowering women to be the best versions of themselves by using the natural abilities they have, the feminist movement promotes masking women's abilities, and puts men, and their natural abilities, on a pedestal. The feminist movement entices women to leave their role in society as care takers, teachers and nurtures, and compete with the men. Because of the lack of women fulfilling their role in societythe youth of this new generation are wilder than ever and families are falling apart.
There is still softness in women. Society, now, must decide what they are going to do with this clear slate. Whether women continue to demean all things feminine, or whether they embrace them, is unknown, but each woman can carve a path that can change womanhood forever. Women have one of the most important roles in home and family, and if it is continually ignored, many negative societal consequences will follow. The feminist movement should embrace the wonderful things that make them women, and go forward embracing and loving that self.

i think woman are wonderful, and that they play such an
important role in society, but it isn't what society is painting
it to be. Let us be pro-femininity, and woman, not the other way around
