serendipity

there are some things that i wish about life and

 love and fate that i believed that i don't

I wish I could find the serendipitous moments in life and think, hey, that was undoubtably a moment of serendipity and then sit and enjoy the moment

I wish I believed in serendipity, a "fortunate accident" as they describe in the movie Serendipity. I guess I may believe in serendipity, but not quite fate or destiny, unless they are tied to something else. Unless fate and destiny are rewards for doing whats right for your life. In that case I may. 

But I want to believe that one day everyone will have have that moment from Serendipity, where they meet someone and it's just like... oh, there you are. 

I am a total hopeless romantic. hah, sounds funny when I actually put it down in words. But I am. I don't appreciate a movie, or book, or song(etc.), unless it deals with some sort of a romance. It doesn't always need a happily ever after, although it sure does help, but it just needs a man and a woman dealing with that thing we call love. 

How corny of me is that. 

All of this started when I started watching a billion chick-flick-christmas-movies this break and then Runaway Bride, You've Got Mail, Les Mis and now down to Serendipity. They have all had that, for lack of other words, magical moment. And I've always been the "weird girl" who believed in magic long after it was acceptable for my age, (which was about ten years ago) and I still prefer fiction to reality because in fiction, the serendipitous moments can be truly perfect.

Now, as I sit here re-reading my words I realize how corny, silly and, dare I say, pathetic I sound getting a life of amusement from characters in stories finding each other by fortunate accidents, but I love the idea of it. So this'll be a sort of new years resolution.

Along with no soda for another year, (which I did! Yippie {i didn't count redbull because on occasion, you need it, and another time I didn't know it has soda in it, and I stopped right away ;)}) But this year, I will also try every post I make to post a
