regurgitated elder letter

This week was good. I went back to Timpview for the homecoming game! haha that was an interesting and strange feeling. But it was definitely fun to see my d co girls perform!

This week byu played Utah! and we lost. But it was definitely a close game. 24-21. and the game ended at like... 11:58 with a kick that would have made it go into over time and he kicked the goal post. It's true, BYU doesn't play football on sundays. hahaha

Basically I am just working day to day, trying to enjoy what I can and push through! 

We had stake conference today and it was awesome! So many good talks, many of which commented on

1. That we must remember we are Children of God (he told and i love the story of moses when he becomes tempted of the devil he says, "who art thou? for i am a son of God")

2. That temples are one of the greatest blessings we have along with family(and that they go hand in hand)

3. and the 4th article of faith was brought up a few times. 

Elder Oaks{i know, so cool} talked about a lot of interesting topics, very specialized to the audience. He talked about being able to not worry about if you're doing something wrong and thats why you're not married. But instead think about What more can you do to benefit the Lord. Because you have been promised things, and they will come forth on the Lords time. 

Another interesting thing he talked about was the electing. He made it very clear that the church makes no stand on which party or person to vote for. And he pressed everyone to put away to cruel words that are used against each other. Oaks added "Every person has a right to personal revelation" and that the Lord will accept anyone who thoroughly forsakes their sins. He then finishes with a powerful testimony saying he is a special witness of Christ, and that we, because we have the holy ghost, can also have this special witness.
